Pressed fruit juice brand Cawston Press has been granted B-Corporation certification, building on the brand’s ‘Pressing for Better’ sustainability action plan for people and the planet.
Cawston Press managing director Steve Kearns said it had taken the brand two years to achieve its B-Corp status, a move which was “driven by a team-wide desire to demonstrate our impact in a more structured and quantifiable way”.
He said he was “proud to now be part of a broader community of like-minded businesses that recognise and act on the need to increase efforts to be better for people and the planet”.
Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Cawston Press to the B-Corp community.
“This is a movement of companies who are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that Cawston Press is going to be a fantastic addition to the community and will continue driving the conversation forward”.

Cawston Press’ certification builds on its commitment to do further good for people and planet with its ‘Pressing for Better’ sustainability strategy, and its membership of the JEDI Matters Collective with other B-Corp brands including Pip & Nut, Lucky Saint and Anglepoise.
“We take immense pride in the quality of our natural ingredients, along with the art of blending them to produce delicious drinks,” continued Kearns.
“Nature provides us with all of our ingredients, so it’s imperative that we play our part to help protect the environment and the natural world.”
Attaining B-Corp certification is a rigorous process, which signals companies are both socially and environmentally conscious. There are over 1,500 B-Corps in the UK, representing a broad cross-section of industries.
In December last year, it was revealed environmental charity Hubbub’s commercial subsidiary was no longer eligible for B Corp status after folding it into the main charity.
