Bargain retailer B&M is launching over 700 in-store vape recycling bins across its store portfolio around the UK.
The scheme – in partnership with vape manufacturer Supreme and brand owner 88vape – is the first of its kind to appear in the entire estate of a nationwide retail chain, where consumers can safely dispose of their used vapes.
Currently around five million single-use vapes are discarded each week.
Last year, Superdrug stopped selling single-use vapes across all of its UK stores to deter the products ending up in landfill.

A B&M spokesperson said the store “welcomes the opportunity” to “tackle the ongoing environmental damage occurring by single-use, disposable vaping products”.
“We want our consumers to use the products we sell in a responsible manner, and that remains even when they are no longer of use,” the spokesperson added.
“These new bins offer a convenient and sustainable way for customers to dispose of their vapes,” the spokesperson continued.
“Like many of the other products we sell, vapes should never be binned or littered – especially now they can be so easily recycled.”
